Experts at the 12th edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) highlighted some of the emerging trends in the global tourism market as they emphasized that consumers are increasingly prioritizing environmentally sustainable practices and immersive travel experiences. These trends indicate a shift in travelers’ preferences towards more responsible tourism. Another important observation was the increasing focus on self-care as travelers are now willing to invest in wellness-focused experiences.
Deepak Deva, Managing Director of SITA, highlighted the growing influence of sustainable travel on tourist decisions. He explained how the demand for eco-friendly travel products will shape the future of the industry in a big way. He also pointed out that the tourism sector is expected to see a substantial increase in spending on self-care.

Edakkal Caves, Wayanad
