Latya brings the soul of Latin America to Delhi in a way that seems fresh, authentic and deeply satisfactory.
There is some magnetic about Latin American culture – its rhythm, its color and especially its taste. I recently found all this during a dinner at a newly opened Latin American restaurant and Aldacco Center, Malviya Nagar at Latoya during a dinner. Made by Manifest Hospitality (people behind some of Delhi’s most new F&B concepts), Latoya promises an immersive Pak visit – and it saves exactly.
environment:
I visited a weekend evening, and the place was buzzing with energy. A live Latin musical performance is the right mood – excited, intimate and full of life. The outdoor seating felt like a hidden garden, comfortable and succulent with greenery. Inside, the atmosphere was chic and upscale, with a long, well stock bar that immediately attracted attention.
Cocktail:
Latya’s bar menu is full of Latin American spirits such as Rum, Tequila, Agay and Pisko. I tried Papi Chulo – a tequila – the name -based cocktail which was smooth, citrus and bold, shows the name. The Inca, made with pisco, was fresh and fine, while E L Dorado, a whiskey-based cone, was a warm and spicy finish that I loved. However, hot toddy, a little flat for me – was the lack of punch I expected. Nevertheless, the cocktail was beautifully presented and was well prepared thinking, which was easily matched with the stretch of space.
Meal:
The menu reflects the rich and diverse culinary scenario of Latin America, from the banks of Peru to the stakehouse of Argentina. I started with Brazilian cheese bread – soft, cheese, and three lively dips. It was addictive. The chop of the lamb was flavored and well cooked, but the real winner of the night was the trio of Kevich. With shrimp, sea bass and tuna, it was fresh, touch and absolutely satisfactory.
And then the dessert came – True Shostoppers. Rose and berry trace carrying flowers and fruits had a delicate balance, while chocolate, berries and chillies surprised me with its complexity and boldness. Both were as stunning as they were for food.
Stretch:
This is not your average high-energy bar or noise cafe. Instead, it provides an elevated late dinner experience–flavor-forever and intimate. For those who enjoy global tastes under slow sips, meaningful interaction and soft lighting.
Latya brings the soul of Latin America to Delhi in a way that seems fresh, authentic and deeply satisfactory. Latoya deserves a place in your musical list.
