Russia is set to offer its multifaceted charm to Indian tourists. A new itinerary, “Russian Holidays: From the Capital of Russia to the Capital of Siberia,” aims to introduce Indian travelers to the vibrant metropolis of Moscow and the beauty of Siberia. The collaboration between the Moscow City Tourism Committee and Aeroflot aims to strengthen tourism ties between the two countries. The introduction of e-visas has already simplified the travel process, making it easier for Indian tourists to explore the country. The city welcomed nearly 1.6 million foreign tourists in the first half of 2024, with India being one of the top non-CIS visitor countries.
With a blend of history, culture and modernity through iconic landmarks such as the Kremlin, Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral, Moscow seeks to attract explorers, especially Indian travellers, to its world-class museums, theatres and a thriving nightlife scene. The new initiative focuses on showcasing Moscow’s attractiveness to Indian tourists, highlighting its diverse culinary scene, shopping experiences and opportunities for cultural exchange.

On the other hand, Siberia, often considered a remote and cold region, is a hidden gem that is yet to be discovered. The program features Tyumen, the capital of Siberia, as a gateway to this vast land. Think experiences such as thermal springs, stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, adventure activities such as hiking and fishing, and of course, warm local hospitality.
