Jio World Plaza in BKC has an exciting new dining destination called Atrium at the Plaza. Filled with natural light and European-inspired decor, this space aims to capture the holiday spirit and whisk you away from the cares of busy city life. The Atrium at the Plaza is envisioned as a space that will bring together a variety of cuisines for guests to choose from. Individual establishments will not have their own seating arrangements. Instead, tables are set up in the open space in the middle. This design makes it different from similar places in other malls. Here, it is an exotic courtyard for culinary delights rather than a regular ‘food court’. The idea is to eat well and relax in a quiet corner filled with artistic touches – lampposts, floral decorations, a gorgeous aquarium and more.

The initial phase of the launch of Atrium has been marked by the opening of DIVA by Chef Ritu Dalmia. Guests at Geo World Plaza can now enjoy the chef’s signature dishes, including (his own favorite) Mac & Cheese and DIVA’s classic Tiramisu. But the menu here goes beyond Italian cuisine and also includes Pan-Asian and Indian comfort food. We had a chance to check it out ourselves a few days ago. Explaining the idea behind DIVA’s café-style offering, the chef explained, “This is a place where you don’t come for a long lunch. If you want to meet up with a friend and have a quick If you want something to eat, this is the place for you. For us, the food ethos is very clear: simple, not pretentious, high quality and delicious.”
We started our brunch with the delicious Chicken Katsu Bao and satisfying root vegetable, almond and Japanese ginger dimsum. The real show-stealer was the Sourdough Sandwich with Mini Sharp Cheddar, Onion Marmalade and Sriracha. We couldn’t resist taking extra portions! Our meal was complemented by refreshing sips of Peach and Apricot Iced Tea and Passion Fruit Bubble Tea. Beverage options include mocktails, tea and coffee drinks – no alcohol is served.

Chef Ritu says the food at DIVA at Atrium is “non-intimidating”, which she says is the hallmark of a good café. The focus is on the familiar, casual and comfortable. The main course is accordingly presented as the “Food Bowl of the World”. Expect Asian dishes like pan seared tofu and blue pea fried rice with sambal, as well as Italian dishes like lasagna with meat ragu and dainty potato gnocchi with foraged mushrooms and pecorino. who are still yearning “Homemade food” You will also find options like Chole Kulche, Sabz Pulao and other desi classics. No outing should end before savoring a sweet treat. At DIVA, options range from delicious tarts, pastries and cheesecakes to lighter desserts like gluten-free Rosemary and Almond Torta.
