ICA Commander Alan Kuo says this new system will allow staff to focus on more important tasks such as security profiling. This is especially important as ridership continues to grow and the workforce ages.
However, it is important to note that foreign visitors are still required to show a passport upon arrival, but can enjoy the ease of passport-free clearance when departing. With Changi Airport leading the way, this groundbreaking biometric clearance system promises to enhance the travel experience in Singapore and also set a new standard for airports around the world.
