Himachal PradeshBilaspur is taking a big leap in tourism as it introduces parasailing in the picturesque spot Govind Sagar LakeAccording to officials, a leading Delhi-based company, currently operating in Tehri, has been invited to conduct trial operations for the same.

Bilaspur Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq said in a statement that the company will bring its parasailing boats to Bilaspur in the first week of December. A technical committee of experts will monitor the activities during this period. After this, based on the test report, the District Regulation Committee will take a decision on allowing permanent operation.

If the tests are successful, parasailing will be added permanently to the lake’s attractions. Formal permits will be issued and there will be a structured framework for operations.

Govind Sagar Lake, which is already a favorite destination for tourists with its cruise rides and shikara boating, will provide an exciting experience for adventure lovers once parasailing starts. This is also expected to increase the number of tourists in the area. Also, this initiative aims to enhance the reputation of Bilaspur as a hub of water sports.

The Deputy Commissioner said, “Considering the natural beauty and tourism potential of Govind Sagar Lake, we aim to make Bilaspur a major center of water tourism and starting parasailing activities will be an important step in this direction.”
