While we’re busy swooning over his sold-out concerts (which we couldn’t attend) and viral Instagram updates, Diljit is living his best life in one of the most beautiful places on earth – Kashmir!
The singer-actor recently made a pitstop at “Paradise on Earth” and his staycation choice has got us all talking. She decided to share a stunning reel of herself exploring Poplar Gardens while posing with trees in the Pantone color of the year – Mocha Mousse!
And the hotel where he stayed is the historic Lalit Grand Palace SrinagarOnce the magnificent summer palace of Maharaja Pratap Singh, the palace has now become a luxury retreat and has much to offer. There are lush gardens (in spring), dreamy apple orchards and mountain views so beautiful they could be framed and hung in a gallery. And it is located in the Himalayas, overlooking the iconic Dal Lake!
The palace is a magnificent example of British, Mughal and Kashmiri architecture with ornate interiors, wooden furniture and soft furnishings. You’ll step back in time, but with Wi-Fi and room service. Diljit chose to stay in one of the 10 cottages on the property, but you can also choose from 113 well-furnished palace guest rooms.
Built by Maharaja Pratap Singh in 1910, this stunning property has played host to both historical luminaries and Bollywood royalty. Mahatma Gandhi once sipped tea at Chinar Gardens with Maharaja Hari Singh, and luminaries like Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rakhi and Sharmila Tagore have graced these royal halls. And now, the hotel has added another name to its celebrity legacy!
