A food vlogger recently went viral on social media for her decision to stop working on her YouTube channel, which she started three years ago. Nalini Unagar on However, he says he did not get meaningful returns on this investment. According to his post, he has also removed 250 videos created and shared on the video platform over the past few years. She started her thread on X by telling people that she was putting kitchen items and studio equipment up for sale (she apparently bought them for her YouTube work).
She wrote, “I failed in my YouTube career, so I’m selling all my kitchen stuff and studio equipment. If anyone is interested in buying, please let me know.” She further added, “I confess today – I have invested around Rs 8 lakh in building a kitchen, buying studio equipment and promotion in my YouTube channel. Returns? Rs 0.” In a post shared separately from the above thread, he said, “I’m honestly angry at YouTube. I risked my money, time, and even my career to create my channel, but in return, YouTube gave me nothing. It seems as if the platform favors certain channels and specific types of videos, giving no recognition to others despite hard work.”
