Hajmola is a dish which is still consumed by many people in India. Small, round-shaped “digestive pills” have a spicy taste and distinctive flavor. Although we may be familiar with the taste of hajamola, imagine a Japanese person tasting it for the first time. Recently, Koki Shishido, a Japanese travel vlogger, shared a video on Instagram where he introduced Hajmola to his family, friends and close acquaintances. And their reactions were absolutely priceless! In the clip, the vlogger’s grandparents were the first to try out the regular version of the tablet. After putting it in their mouth, when the spicy, salty and spicy taste bursts in their mouth, they are seen narrowing their eyes. The video reads, “Sorry about my grandfather and grandfather.” The next people to try Hajmola were his friends. Many of them reacted by shouting “aaaahhh”.
Others had the same reaction as they were shocked by the strong taste. “India is not for beginners” read another text layout.
