American entrepreneur and venture capitalist Brian Johnson, famous for his experiments in diet, exercise and medicine to promote longevity, is often seen sharing health and wellness insights on social media. Her latest Instagram post highlighted two sugary foods from her childhood — breakfast cereals and soda — that, while popular among kids, may not be the best for their health.
“I’m sad to tell you that I grew up eating this,” he says, adding that in the morning, he used to consume sugary cereal that contained “17 grams of sugar.” Sharing examples with a box of Oreo O’s cereal and Loaded Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. “It was a mainstay in my household. We ate Chinese cereal for breakfast every day,” he said.
Got a soda after a sweet snack after school. “Then after school, we’d get soda at the local gas station. 64 ounces (about 1.9 liters) was perfect,” she said while picking up a glass of ‘Double Big Gulp,’ a series of fountain drinks by 7-Eleven. ,

Reflecting on his sugar intake, Johnson revealed, “Overall, I was probably eating about 100-150 grams of sugar every day. Now, I don’t blame my mom or my community. They just didn’t know. It was the norm, that’s what these companies did.”
Criticizing the companies, he said, “They put sugar in our lives and ruined a lot of our potential lives because we were being nourished by their addiction. It’s bad. It’s horrible and it has to stop.”
