Indian street food is full of bizarre food combinations and experiments that leave us in awe. One such viral video is going viral on Instagram in which a street vendor is seen cooking eggs in Fanta. Yes, you read that right. In the viral video posted by @foodandstreett (Subrata Samaddar), we see the omelette seller emptying a bottle of the fizzy, orange-flavoured drink into a hot pan, then cracking six eggs into it. The video has gone viral and has been viewed more than 176 million times.
After pouring the eggs into the pan, the seller adds some salt and mixes it all to get a milky-orange color. Once the eggs are slightly cooked, he chops them and adds tomatoes, onions, green chillies and some coriander. Once Fanta’s liquid has almost dried, he places the ‘orange egg bhurji’ on a plate made of dry leaves.
The caption of the video reads, “Kolkata’s most unique cold drink omelette.”
