Staying with extremely strict parents can feel like knee after a point with more curfew and low appreciation. Whether it is at 8 o’clock at 25 o’clock at 25, or it is being asked to explain why you are texting someone at 9 pm on a week, the pressure can gradually eliminate your sanctity.
Now, when your freedom is polished all the time, it is valid to feel worried, suffocated or less. Constant monitoring, criticism is being done, or crime-tripped can quietly remove your confidence and emotional good.
So, how do you avoid parents’ prison without going to the whole teen rebel or chatting your family group chat forever?
1. Say
Tell your parents that they are overbier, can easily go down. But sometimes, a cool, respectable conversation can do amazing work. Try the old “I think” approach: “I feel worried when I don’t allow me to decide on my own.” This is not magic, but it is a beginning, and at least you will earn respect for maturity.
2. Set the boundary
Boundaries are not only for bad people. They are also required for healthy family relations. Start in small ways. Perhaps it is emphasizing privacy in your bedroom or not telling them everything you chat on WhatsApp. You are not “derogatory”. You are exercising your right to behave as a human being.
3. Build your mental strength
If changing your parents is not an alternative, focus on managing your mind. Jernling, or therapy, can be strangely medical. Surround yourself with people who do not demand updates per hour at your hideout.
4. There is a long -term escape plan
Sometimes, healthy option is distance. If your mental health is taking a seriously hit, consider going out. Freedom often comes with self-centers.
