Indian travelers dream of exploring stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and rich cultural heritage Thailand There are even more reasons to celebrate this HPliday season. Thailand will launch e-Visa facility for Indian tourists from January 1, 2024, which will streamline the visa application process and enhance travel convenience.
announced by royal Thai Embassy In New Delhi, the initiative will also offer an offline payment option, an embassy statement said. Processing time will be approximately 14 working days from the date of issue of receipt for visa fee.

Despite the new system, the Embassy clarified that Indian passport holders will continue to enjoy 60 days visa exemption for tourism and short business trips until further notice. However, those opting for e-Visa will have to pay a non-refundable visa fee, details regarding offline payment methods will be provided by the concerned Embassy and Consulates-General.

Thailand Visa Rule

Earlier this year, Thailand had indefinitely extended its visa-free entry policy for Indian citizens. Now, you can visit Thailand’s stunning beaches, vibrant cities and ancient temples for up to 60 days without a visa. Additionally, you can extend your stay for another 30 days if you want to enjoy even more of the Thai culture and experience.

The visa-free policy, which was first introduced in November 2023 to boost tourism, has now been extended until further notice. Previously, visa-free entry was valid until November 11, 2024, but this extension provides more flexibility to plan that dream vacation.
